2017-2018 MISSOURI REGULATORY INITIATIVE
On January 10, 2017, Governor Greitens signed Executive Order 17-03, which requires Missouri agencies to conduct a review of all existing and proposed regulations. At the time of the Executive Order, there were more than 7.2 million words in the Missouri Code of State Regulations, many of which are redundant, outdated, or ineffective. With so many rules, it’s difficult to tell which ones are helping Missouri citizens and which ones are just unnecessary red tape.
Governor Greitens believes that we need more jobs and higher pay, and government should get out of the way. The Governor’s office is asking for your feedback on state regulations and will use your suggestions to improve state policy. With your help, we can shrink government in Missouri and grow jobs.
